Whangaroa College

The project included:

Refresh of whole hall space, retaining the original wood paneling

Relining of walls from floor to ceiling with a robust material

A custom made Autex design, full of colour and personality to reflect the school

A celebration of the culture within the school, the mural on the outside was reflected inside the hall.

The school Hall is where the school community gather. The Principal was keen to retain the original wood paneling while freshening up the space using colour and texture.

The hall is a multipurpose space so the wall and ceiling linings needed to be robust and hard wearing. The opportunity to add colour and design specific to the college came through the use of Autex. A mural located on the exterior of the Hall was reflected inside, and is a stunning indication of how a school's cultural narrative can be celebrated through school property.
