Kaikohe East School Playground Upgrade

Creation of a space for the school children to relax and enjoy their break time.

The colourful shade sails and play equipment provide an uplifting and safe area for the children to exercise and rest

A renewed positive environment to provide insipration for the children and staff.

Located on Mangakahia Road, Kaikohe East School’s renewed play area displays a fantastic use of Ministry of Education’s SIP (School Investment Package) funding.

The Ministry of Education provides most state schools with one-off funding to help them with property projects that would otherwise be suspended due to a lack of available funds. Kaikohe East School has used the funds to update their tired playground into a vibrant space for the school children to relax and enjoy their break time. The colourful shade sails and play equipment provide an uplifting and safe area for the children to exercise and rest.
